The Toronto Raptors are no stranger to returning from a deficit, even if it is already the fourth quarter. They proved that again when they turned the tables on the Washington Wizards, 111-107, on Monday, November 13.

Pascal Siakam capped the Raptors' comeback against the Wizards, who led by as much as 23 points at one point, Reuters reported. The 29-year-old All-Star converted a critical shot that sealed the win for the Raptors with eight seconds left in the contest.

While it was something the Raptors could brag about, the same could not be said for the Wizards, as it was the third straight game wherein Washington bungled a good lead and lost.

Last-quarter comebacks are nothing new for Raptors

This is not the first time they managed to claw back and win a game.

In 2019, they were down by as much as 23 points when they played the Dallas Mavericks. Toronto dug deep in the payoff period, unloading 47 points while limiting the Mavs to just 21.

Those who joined hands in that comeback win include Kyle Lowry, who had 20 points in the fourth quarter alone and finished the game with 32 points and 10 assists.

Chris Boucher and Terence Davis helped out with 12 and 9 points, respectively, ESPN reported.

Combining that 2019 feat and the recent one against the Wizards, Toronto has two storied comeback-finish in franchise history despite facing a huge lead heading into the final quarter.

Lakers vs. Mavericks in (2002)

The Raptors are not the only team to rise from the grave despite being down by a huge margin.

In 2002, the Los Angeles Lakers also did the trick against the Mavericks. Playing poorly in the first half, the Lakers battled back from a 27-point deficit and ended up winning the game by only two points, 105-103.

Kobe Bryant anchored the uprising, dropping 21 points in the fourth quarter alone. He finished with 27 points for the night, while Shaquille O'Neal had 26 markers and 11 rebounds via NBA.com.

Bucks vs. Hawks (1997)

The Milwaukee Bucks trailed by as much as 28 points against the Hawks on November 25, 1997, and most had conceded the game to Atlanta.

The Bucks got their act together in the fourth period, led by Junior Bridgeman. They managed to produce 41 points in the last quarter while holding the Hawks to just 11 markers.

Bridgeman finished with 24 points coming off the bench to lead the Bucks to the win. David Meyers added 18 points, while Alex English had 17 in that miracle win.
