Apart from his impressive football career, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has received an unexpected accolade.

The 36-year-old was named by People magazine as a finalist for their annual "Sexiest Man Alive" honor.

During an interview with 94 WIP Sportsradio Radio, the five-time First Team All-Pro selection humorously remarked on the announcement.

"I'm not even the sexiest man in my own family, let alone sexiest man alive," the Super Bowl LII champion light-heartedly addressed.

Kelce also reacted to the news on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...," the six-time Pro Bowl selection posted.

Kelce is in his 13th season in the NFL, having spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, being selected as the 191st overall pick.

The center played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Only two athletes have won 'Sexiest Man Alive' honor

Since its establishment in 1985, the "Sexiest Man Alive" title has primarily been bestowed upon actors and models, with only two athletes being honored.

The first athlete to receive this title was former soccer player David Beckham in 2015, followed by former professional wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in 2016.

In 2023, actor Patrick Dempsey claimed the title, succeeding Marvel star Chris Evans, who held the honor in 2022.
