Chiefs vs. Dolphins Week 9 Preview
One player from each side will be in the spotlight of this Week 9 collision - quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs and Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins, per USA Today.
Mahomes will try to come up with a better showing after dealing with the flu in their 24-9 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, October 29. The 28-year-old went 24-of-38 for 241 yards and threw two interceptions as Kansas City suffered its second loss of the 2023-24 season.
On the other side, Tagovailao will try to continue his game brilliance this season. He threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns in that 31-17 win over the New England Patriots this past weekend, CBS Sports reported.
The 25-year-old play-caller currently leads the league with 2,416 passing yards.
Chiefs vs. Dolphins Week 9 Pick
The Dolphins cannot be counted out against the Chiefs in Week 9. They can pull off a shocker, although this depends on how the wards of coach Mike McDaniel will respond.
Aside from Mahomes, former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Jalen Ramsey will be critical for the Dolphins to get their seventh win of the season.
However, that may all depend on how Mahomes can get his act together. The Broncos were able to check the Chiefs' receivers, so expect the Dolphins to try and do the same.
However, Chiefs coach Andy Reid has likely addressed that issue. Coming off a loss, the Chiefs should come out with a win over the Dolphins. Expect this NFL encounter to be a close one.
