NCAA Basketball: Iowa Hawkeyes Caitlin Clark's Boyfriend Reacts to Epic Triple-Double vs. DePaul

The Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball star Caitlin Clark performed magnificently in front of a record 55,646 fans at the Kinnick Stadium during their exhibition game against the DePaul Blue Demons on Sunday, October 15.

The 21-year-old scored a game-high 34 points alongside a remarkable triple-double, adding 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Clark's standout display garnered praise from her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, who expressed his admiration on Instagram.

McCaffery, a former Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball player, shared a video of the event from his perspective in the stadium, tagging his partner's account and accompanying it with a series of fire emojis.

Iowa won the exhibition match-up, 94-72, which set a new attendance record for women's basketball.

The Hawkeyes' 2023-24 season is set to begin with a game against Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday, November 6.

Connor McCaffery played for Iowa

McCaffery's tenure with the Hawkeyes spanned six seasons, during which he played under his father, longtime Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, from 2017 to 2023.

Notably, the 25-year-old former guard boasts an impressive career assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.59, comprising 527 assists and 147 turnovers, making it the second-best in NCAA history.

At the end of last May, McCaffery joined the coaching staff for the Indiana Pacers.

As a new assistant coach, his responsibilities include assisting with the scout team, contributing to film analysis, and supporting the Pacers coaching staff with any other necessary tasks.
