WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns is set to make his return to SmackDown on Friday, October 13, with many eager to see what new storyline will unfold.

The last time wrestling fans saw the Tribal Chief was at WWE SummerSlam in August, where he successfully defended his title against his cousin, Jey Uso, per WWE.com. This was after his other cousin, Jimmy Uso, betrayed his brother Jey.

After a two-month break, the "Head of the Table" will return, and most are left guessing what twist awaits. The last time the Bloodline was in action was at Fastlane, where Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa lost to the duo of John Cena and LA Knight, per Bleacher Report.

Noticeable at the time was Paul Heyman on his cellphone in what announcers believe was him updating Reigns of the result. This could be the main topic on WWE SmackDown when the Tribal Chief returns.

Here are some storylines that could unfold on Friday, October 13.

  1. Reigns to berate Jimmy Uso for the loss.

Reigns does not like losing, and Jimmy Uso could get a mouthful in that loss. With no Jey Uso to back him up, he would have to accept the tongue-lashing and prove himself worthy of being in the stable.

Jimmy Uso could turn on Reigns and the Bloodline, although it may be too early. The same was predicted with Jey Uso, and it took some time before that happened. That may be the same course the 38-year-old may take before he ventures out alone.

  1. Is Sikoa betrayal finally happening?

The enforcer of the Bloodline, Solo Sikoa, could snap at Reigns at SmackDown. This is something that WWE critics have been waiting for, and this could happen on Friday.

If that does happen, it would signify Sikoa venturing out on his own or following the path of Jey Uso in taking on the Tribal Chief. That could be the next storyline, although the 30-year-old Sikoa may need more seasoning.

  1. LA Knight may push his luck and target Reigns.

Easily one of the rising and famous stars in the WWE, LA Knight could rub salt on the Bloodline and aim for Reigns next. It would make sense to start a new feud, considering the 40-year-old has been rolling in the past weeks.

  1. Cody Rhodes could renew the rivalry.

Cody Rhodes could be an option, someone who could give Reigns a rude welcome back and take aim at the WWE Universal title. The road of the American Nightmare has been erratic, so a renewed push for Reigns' title would make sense.

  1. A New Bloodline member could surface

With Jey Uso's exit, it is evident that the Bloodline is shorthanded. Seeing how Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa may need help, Reigns may not be returning to the scene alone.

So far, the only name that has surfaced is Bron Breakker of WWE NXT. With Heyman allegedly headed there to appear on a one-off appearance when Breaker faces Carmelo Hayes, it may be a sign of things to come. That includes possibly seeing the second-generation superstar as the new member of the Bloodline per Cageside Seats.

That could be interesting, although the 25-year-old believes he has a better version of Reigns' finisher, the Spear per 411 Mania.

Hence, Reigns and Heyman may be taking in a monster that may be tough to tame.
