The Damian Lillard trade drama is officially done and over with. However, it cannot be denied that the seven-time All-Star still has some qualms about how the Portland Trail Blazers handled his trade request.

Rightfully so, the 33-year-old guard revealed his true feelings on how the Blazers gave in to his request. Lillard originally wanted to be shipped to the Miami Heat before he ended up with the Bucks.

"I don't think it was a secret that Miami is where I wanted to go when I asked for a trade," Lillard said when he spoke to SiriusXM NBA Radio.

The 2013 NBA Rookie of the Year revealed how the state of the Trail Blazers was pretty much up in the air, and management said that they would help move Lillard to where he wanted to go - which was the Heat via Sports Illustrated.

"It was more of a thing when this conversation even started. It was like, 'We're not going to be able to build this team out. We'll help you get to where you want to go.' And that was where I wanted to go," Lillard added.

Should Damian Lillard be thankful?

Although his wish to end up in Miami did not materialize, pundits feel he ended up joining a better team. His entry to the Bucks' fold gives him a better chance to win an NBA title, forming a deadly tandem with resident star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Milwaukee Bucks' chances of winning it all this NBA season rose dramatically. They are +375 favorites to win it all, with the Denver Nuggets next at +425, CBS Sports reported.
