The Los Angeles Lakers never forget, especially when dragged into trash talk. The Denver Nuggets may have made a huge mistake, which could motivate Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and the rest of the purple and gold crew to do better this 2023-24 NBA season.
"It was just a lot of like the talking... We get it, y'all won, but me and LeBron had some conversations like, 'We can't wait,'" Davis stated.

Head coach Michael Malone was at the helm of the Nuggets' trash-talk tirade. After eliminating the Lakers in the Western Conference Final, the 52-year-old mentor can be best remembered for hurling potshots at James and company, USA Today reported.
Having fallen short of making it to the NBA Finals, not to mention getting past the Nuggets, Davis, James, and company swallowed all of that and moved on. But of course, this year is a different story, with the purple and gold taking in new players and being given a longer time to mesh.
Lakers pinning hopes on revamped roster
With a revamped roster, Anthony Davis and LeBron James expect to get more help for the coming NBA season, NBA.com reported.
In the eyes of Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, James may no longer need to overexert himself this season.
"I think there's upgrades (in) spacing and shooting, top to bottom. That was all done knowing LeBron is going into the 21st year. We have to partner with him to help him get all the way to the end, because that's his goal. Adding the depth, the versatility, the shooting, all of those things are going to help us manage that," Pelinka stated.
