Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson confessed that his deep affection for the purple and gold franchise has always prevented him from contemplating ownership of any other NBA team.

However, there is one particular team that could pique his interest.

"I think it would be intriguing. The only team I would actually probably think about is the New York Knicks," the five-time NBA champion said.

The Laker great thinks that the way Knicks fans are passionate about the game might get him to consider holding a stake with the team.

The three-time NBA Most Valuable Player also said he loves visiting New York and Madison Square Garden to watch the team play.

Johnson added that he loves being with fans who are passionate about their team, and Knicks fans are among them. The twelve-time NBA All-Star described the fanbase as "smart."

"I think that other than that, I would probably never think about ever being a part of another franchise," Johnson concluded.
