Aaron Rodgers underwent surgery to address his torn Achilles on Wednesday, September 13, and it appears the four-time NFL MVP is headed toward the right step to recovery.

The 39-year-old quarterback, whose first game with the Jets got off on the wrong foot, put up a post-surgery photo and appeared to be in great spirits after the medical procedure performed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Rams team doctor, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, NBC Sports reported.

"Surgery went great yesterday," Rodgers wrote on his Instagram via Sports Illustrated. "Thank you for all the love and prayers and support. And thanks to the goat Dr. ElAttrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery."

NFL fans are now left wondering if Rodgers will have time to recover and return to the Jets this 2023-24 season. Although the Super Bowl champion QB mentioned he would rise again, some feel that an Aaron Rodgers comeback this NFL season does not look promising.

Among them is American sports columnist and commentator Skip Bayless. The 71-year-old gave his take on the chances of Aaron Rodgers returning this season and deemed it 50/50 when he spoke on the Undisputed.

In the meantime, the Jets are pinning their hopes on Zach Wilson. The 24-year-old has the vote of confidence of head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who says his respect for Wilson is off the charts, NFL.com reported.

"For a guy to not have any practice, to come in there and execute the way that he did was just so great to see," Hackett stated. So I think Zach did a really good job, and I think he kept his composure, and that's all you can ask."
