Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola returned to the team on Wednesday, more than three weeks after taking time off to recover from an emergency back surgery.

The club's social media account teased the return of their boss, posting a silhouette of Guardiola with the caption "Guess who's back?" on X, formerly Twitter.

The 52-year-old oversaw the squad's Wednesday training, with most of his players returning from international duty this past week.

Guardiola missed the last two games of Manchester City, and assistant manager Juanma Lillo took charge of the team during a narrow 2-1 away win against newly promoted Sheffield United on August 27 and a dominant 5-1 victory at home against Fulham on September 2.

Manchester City remains unbeaten in the Premier League for the current campaign, winning their first three matches.

The defending Premier League champions will face the in-form West Ham United on Sunday.
