Free agent big man Boban MarjanoviÄ will remain with the Houston Rockets after signing a one-year deal with the team, per league insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Entering his ninth season in the NBA, the 35-year-old spent the 2022-23 season with the Rockets, averaging 3.3 points,1.9 rebounds and shooting 68.3 percent from the floor in 31 games.
The fan favorite will play a reserve role behind Alperen Åengün and Jock Landale, who are expected to log heavy minutes in the center position for the Rockets in the upcoming campaign.
Marjanovic will be the second oldest player in the Rockets roster coming into the season, next to veteran forward Jeff Green.
After going undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft, the Serbian big man signed his first NBA contract as a 27-year-old in 2015 with the San Antonio Spurs.
Since then, stints with the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Dallas Mavericks followed.

Standing at 7-foot-4, MarjanoviÄ is tied with this year's top overall pick, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, as the tallest active player in the NBA.
As a fan favorite, the calm and meek big man has appeared in several State Farm commercials and the movie "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum," wherein he fought the protagonist John Wick in the New York Public Library.
He also appeared in the LeBron James-produced film Hustle, which starred Adam Sandler and former NBA player Juancho Hernangómez.
