Damar Hamlin continues his NFL comeback story, which will still be with the Buffalo Bills. This after the 25-year-old safety made the 53-man roster of the team, with most NFL clubs trimming down their lineup.
Hamlin continues working his way back to shape since suffering from a cardiac arrest in January against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the 25-year-old has been rewarded with a spot on the Bills roster, according to sources cited by NFL Insider Tom Pelissero.
"I made the choice that I wanted to play, you know, it wasn't nobody else's choice but mine," Hamlin stated in a report by the Associated Press. "So, when you see my cleats laced up and my helmet and shoulder pads on, there ain't gonna be no hesitation."

The resilience of Pennsylvania natives is notable. Hamlin has found the right approach to rejuvenating his NFL career as a backup safety and special teamer. But the most amazing part of his comeback journey is that he continues to give it his all despite concerns stemming from that January health scare.
Further, no less than Bills coach Sean McDermott explained that Hamlin has nothing left to prove as far as playing football, ESPN reported. He believes Hamlin has proven that he deserves to continue playing the game.
"It's not like we're playing two-hand touch out there in practice. I say that because there's been enough, or several, thud type of contact points. ... There's just been enough of a sample there where you're saying he's executed well and come out of that healthy. So, from my nonmedical standpoint, I think he's checked all the boxes as far as that goes," McDermott explained.
Although Hamlin is making the 53-man roster, general manager Brandon Beane warns that changes could still happen before the Bills open their 2023 NFL season against the New York Jets on Septempter 11.
