The Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) has one passionate and diehard fanbase.

According to a recent study by sports website The Grueling Truth, fans of the Glendale-based football team are the least likely to date a rival supporter among all NFL teams and the most demanding when it comes to their partner supporting the same team.

The Cardinals have built a loyal fanbase over the years as the oldest-running football franchise in the United States, dating back to 1898. They were initially based in Chicago during their establishment, winning two NFL championships in 1925 and 1947, which remain their only titles to this day.

The team moved to St. Louis for the 1960 NFL season, spending three decades in Missouri before moving to Arizona in 1988.

Cardinals supporters remain loyal despite the team holding the longest active championship drought in North American sports, going 75 seasons in a row without winning a title.

Los Angeles Rams fans are second on the list of fans who are least likely to date fans of a rival team, followed by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Meanwhile, New Orleans Saints fans ranked last, being the most willing group to date rival supporters.

And 10 percent of American sports fanatics think supporting a different team is a potential deal breaker in a relationship, while one-third would rather spend an evening with their favorite athletes than their partner.
