NBA: Muggsy Bogues Gets Brutally Honest on Having a Better Rebounding Percentage Than Kevin Durant

In a league dominated by giants, Muggsy Bogues made a name for himself.

An NBA player, on average, stands at 6'7. Bogues is only 5'3, but he still managed to carve out a stellar 14-year NBA career.

Not only that, he was able to maximize his presence on the court and even have a better offensive-rebounding percentage than some of the league's big men, like Kevin Durant.

Bogues was made aware of this fun fact about him by The Hoop Chat. How did he do it?

He said that it is about the effort.

"Well, even though I was a small guard, but I always got those long rebounds," he said.

"I chased them down. I was in the right place at the right time. But I didn't know I had more. My percentage was better than Kevin Durant."

Bogues minimally edged KD in offensive rebounding percentage, ending his career with 2.3 percent, while the Phoenix Suns star held 2.2 percent.

What is his message to the two-time champ?

"He needs to get out there and rebound a little more."

To be fair, it can also be said that rebounding is not KD's main job despite him standing at 6'11. He is a designated scorer and is more useful on the offensive side of the court.

Where is Bogues now?

Bogues retired in 2001 as 16th on the All-Time Assist list.

Right now, Bogues is serving as the Ambassador and Special Projects Advisor of the Charlotte Hornets, the team he spent nine years for.
