New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara will receive punishment for his role at a Las Vegas nightclub fight that occurred over the 2022 Pro Bowl weekend in February of the same year.

The 28-year-old will be suspended for the first three games of the 2023 NFL season following a plea agreement last month that reduced his felony charges to breach of peace, a misdemeanor.

Kamara will pay the alleged victim, Darnell Greene Jr., for his medical bills amounting to $105,000 and perform 30 hours of community service.

The five-time Pro Bowl selection was not proud of his actions that evening but owned up to his mistake.

"Poor judgment on my end, definitely a bad decision, but I'm a man. Anything I've ever done in my life, I've stood on and I can take accountability for. I can say when I'm wrong, and I was completely wrong," Kamara said after Friday's practice.

The 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year added that he embarrassed the Saints, his family and his mother, himself, the city of New Orleans, and the NFL due to the incident.

The Colts player was suspended too

Newly-signed Indianapolis Colts cornerback Chris Lammons will be hit with the same three-game suspension, too, as he was also involved in the incident with Kamara.

Both are eligible to return to the active roster on Monday, September 25, but they can participate in the preseason games.
