NBA legend Tracy McGrady criticized Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden for making another trade request this offseason, his third within the past three years.
During an interview with GQ, the seven-time All-Star genuinely did not understand why Harden was trying to get out of the Sixers.
"That makes zero sense to me. Not only that, but I look at all the teammates he's played with. James has probably played with more Hall of Famers than anybody in the league, and he doesn't have a ring to show for it. I don't know what he's looking for," the 44-year-old said.
McGrady suggested that there could be an external factor or deeper reason behind Harden wanting out of Philly because he thinks that it doesn't make sense to depart playing with the reigning MVP Joel Embiid, as well as playing in the Eastern Conference, where chances of competing for the NBA title are better.

Tracy McGrady's say in Damian Lillard's trade situation
When asked about his thoughts on the recent trend of superstars demanding trades from their teams, the two-time All-NBA First Team selection thinks it is a part of the evolution of the NBA.
He believes that Lillard's time in Portland is up, but he understands that the team must also do what's best for their franchise.
"I'm not gonna give away you, Dame, with you just coming off averaging 32 points. You still got game. I gotta get someone back that's All-Star caliber," McGrady said.
