Reports claimed that Fabinho's move to a Saudi Arabian club has been stalled and might get canceled due to a law concerning dogs.

The Brazilian, his former team Liverpool, and Al-Ittihad already made a verbal agreement over the defender's $44 million move to the Asian country last week.

Things slowed down for all parties, and reports said it was because of Fabinho's beloved French bulldogs.

Globo Esporte debunked the fake news saying the transfer of the player is moving along and that his trip to Saudi with his two dogs is not a cause of delay.

The Brazilian publication said the deal's completion just hit a hiccup related to "bureaucratic details."

It added that representatives of the club, along with some government officials, are already in London to seal the deal and that the former Liverpool player will travel to Saudi Arabia by next week.

Does Saudi have laws about aggressive dogs?

Checking the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, it is confirmed that they have a law banning some breeds of dogs deemed dangerous and aggressive.

"Dangerous and aggressive dogs such as Rottweilers and Pit Bulls are not permitted entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under any circumstances," the Saudi Embassy wrote.

The other breeds of dogs are welcome, though. One just needs to ensure the pets pass through several screenings.

It is unclear whether Fabinho's dogs will get an exception. Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend, Georgina, reportedly got an exception from the government despite the country's strict laws against unmarried couples.
