The Damian Lillard trade saga continues, and it is not looking good, at least on the part of the seven-time All-Star.

Recent reports have suggested that Portland Trail Blazers are not too hot on the idea of trading away their superstar, who, in the past months, has made it known that he wants out.

"As of midweek, Portland had been unmotivated to engage with Heat or try to get this done," said Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.

"Maybe they hope this plays out like Durant last summer & they cajole him to start season with the team. If so, then it's in Dame's hands, whether he reports to camp, makes public comment etc."

Lillard eyes Miami Heat as his next team, and the 2023 NBA Finals runners-up are doing everything possible to meet the Blazers' requirements.

Blazers general manager Joe Cronin on July 10 insisted that the team's goal is to always have Dame Dolla on the team.

"We wanted him to retire a Trail Blazer, so we're very open-minded to any time Dame wants to be a part of us," he told reporters.

Heat's latest offer centered around Tyler Herro

The Heat have made another attempt to win Blazers by offering Tyler Herro and four first-round picks, an offer the Western team declared as its demand.

"I'm told that right now, Miami has three firsts, Herro, filler, and maybe a young player already, like willing to go with that. So, the question is finding that fourth [first-round pick]," BA insider Aaron J. Fentress said Wednesday on the Blazers Focused podcast via Jelani Scott of SI.

The Blazers have yet to respond to the offer.
