New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson admitted a personal struggle he faced early in his NBA career.
Speaking on Gilbert Arenas' Gil Arena show, the 23-year-old revealed that he had difficulty sticking to a healthy diet when he first entered the league.
"When you're 20, 22, a lot of money, feels like all the money in the world man, it is hard," the two-time All-Star said.
However, Williamson shared that he has now surrounded himself with people with wisdom to put him and his career back on track.
The forward only played 29 games in the 2022-23 NBA season due to a nagging hamstring issue, but he was still selected to his second NBA All-Star game last February, though he failed to attend it.

Zion Williamson's weight is an issue
Williamson's weight remains an issue. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 284 pounds, the forward has missed a significant part of his career due to injury.
Many sports personalities have encouraged the Pelicans star to trim off weight, including Charles Barkley, who experienced the same situation in his early career, being talented but overweight.
The former player and now TNT television analyst admitted that losing weight was one of the best things to happen in his life.
The 1993 NBA MVP also warned that Williamson would continue accumulating injuries if he didn't get in shape.
