Almost two weeks after asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit against him involving his altercation with a teen in Tennessee, Ja Morant's camp now deals with the arrest warrant released for his associate and best friend Davonte Pack concerning the incident in 2022.
The Shelby County criminal justice portal showed that Pack was present in his house during the altercation between complainant Joshua Holloway and Morant.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, the associate of the NBA star is charged with misdemeanor assault with intent to do bodily harm. He is identified as the one who punched Holloway; an allegation previously pointed towards Morant, which he has since denied it.

"The SCDAG Office will proceed to prosecute this case as we would any simple assault," the office stated.
"As this is an active case, there is no further information we can provide at this time."
Denial from Morant's camp
Morant's camp insisted on a June 29 affidavit that he did not punch the teen and acted in self-defense.
Meanwhile, Pack was identified during a deposition as the one who knocked the teen out while he testified that he had just pulled Morant out from the scuffle.
Using Tennessee laws, his camp said Morant was "in a place where he has a right to be and is not in the process of committing a crime,"; therefore, he was trying to defend himself.
