Dominik Szoboszlai has yet to play in a Liverpool jersey, but recent interviews can tell right away that he is perfect in Anfield.

The Hungarian midfielder, the club's third most expensive signing, was acquired from RB Leipzig this summer transfer window to the tune of a $76 million, five-year deal.

The 22-year-old player said he would be #8 as a member of the Reds, and among his reasons is because it was worn by his favorite player and Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Szoboszlai even shared that he has a tattoo inspired by Gerrard.

"I have a tattoo from Steven Gerrard. That was a reason why," he said.

"When I was a child, to be honest I didn't watch that much football, but when it was Champions League, I watched and he was one of the biggest."

He did not elaborate on what the tattoo looks like, but earlier reports said it was a quote from the English player written in Hungarian that says, "Talent is a blessing from God, but without incredible will and humility, it is worthless."

Playing for Klopp excites Szoboszlai

Szoboszlai appears like someone who sang the song "You'll Never Walk Alone."

Aside from Gerrard and the prospect of playing for one of the top clubs in England, the youngster also sees the opportunity to be managed by Jurgen Klopp as a great feat.

"How he acts next to the pitch - like he would [be] playing with the guys - [I] liked it really a lot," he told the club's website.

"Also how he did in the last years, what he achieved with this club, [I] was also really impressed. I'm looking forward to working with him."
