New Golden State Warriors point guard Chris Paul sat down with ESPN's Malika Andrews to talk about his trade to a team he fiercely battled in the playoffs through the years.
The 38-year-old described his relationship with Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
Andrews mentioned that Paul was one of the first people to reach out to Curry when he entered the league. Paul said their wives attended each other's weddings, and he is excited to play for the Warriors, whom he called an "unbelievable organization."
The two are deadlocked with a 9-9 record against each other in the playoffs. They faced each other in three playoff series. Paul, a member of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014, eliminated the Warriors in seven games in 2014.
Curry got the better of Paul in their heated subsequent two playoff encounters when the Warriors eliminated the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals in 2018 and the Western Conference Semifinals in 2019.
