Kylian Mbappe Shuts Off Transfer Rumors
As the 24-year-old French star went on the stage, the hosts asked him about his plans.
Mbappe enthusiastically answered that he is happy in PSG and intends to play for the club next season, ending the persistent transfer rumors about the superstar that pops up every summer.
"There's no more links about my future? I'm very happy here at PSG and with my choice to be part of this project," the 2022 FIFA World Cup top scorer said.
Mbappe came very close to leaving Paris several times before signing with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Last year, he was in deep discussions with the Los Blancos, who has been courting Mbappe for years. The PSG star said he grew up watching Real Madrid and its legend Cristiano Ronaldo as a kid.
He eventually renewed with PSG until 2025, which gave him the title of the highest-paid player in the world and a hefty signing bonus.
The three-year extension is worth $250 million in salary, plus a $125 million signing bonus, according to New York Times.
