UFC superstar Conor McGregor called out undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez to a fight, saying that he'd fight him in a heartbeat.

McGregor compared himself to past opponents of Alvarez, John Ryder and Billy Joe Saunders. The mixed martial arts fighter stated he is a southpaw, just like the opponents mentioned.

He also claims to have seen methods on how to fight the Mexican and said that Alvarez's abilities are waning.

Canelo Alvarez Responds to Conor McGregor Call-Out

The Mexican responded in an honest manner when asked by a reporter during the unveiling of his wax figure at Museo de Cera in Mexico City, per Sporting News Fights.

"I'd beat him with one hand," a relaxed Alvarez said in Spanish.

This is not the first time the Irish challenged an all-time boxing great for a bout. In 2017, the 34-year-old dared and famously fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 10-round TKO loss.

The fight has the second highest pay-per-view buy rate in history, next to Mayweather Jr.'s fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

Upon hearing Alvarez's response, McGregor quickly fired back on social media, stating that he would not need much effort to beat the 32-year-old boxer.

"Canelo you little ginger sausage. I'd beat you with NO HANDS. Don't forget," the UFC star tweeted.

Social-media-star-turned-fighter Jake Paul previously challenged McGregor in an MMA fight with newly-established UFC competitor Professional Fighters League.
