Inter Milan pulled off a 1-0 victory over rivals AC Milan courtesy of a goal by recent World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal matchup at a rocking San Siro stadium.
Inter was coming off a comfortable 2-0 win during the first leg, but they needed a safety goal to put the nail in the coffin and secure their first Champions League final berth since Jose Mourinho managed them to European glory in 2010.
This was Inter's fourth consecutive win over their rivals this season, keeping a clean sheet in all those matches.

Inter Milan Advances to Champions League Finals
It was a long road for the Italian club, who were alongside usual European powerhouses Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the group stage.
This European finals berth is part of the club's resurgence that started at the beginning of the 2020s.
Inter went trophyless for over a decade before ending their drought by winning the Serie A title in 2021.
Along with the all-important league title, Inter also went on to win a string of domestic cup competitions in 2021 and 2022.
While they can celebrate the win for a while, an enormous task looms as they await the Manchester City-Real Madrid clash winner on the other side of the bracket.
The two giants drew level in the first leg, 1-1, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.
Manchester City and Real Madrid will be fighting for a date with destiny in the second leg of the semi-final matchup at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester tomorrow.
