Alabama Iron Bowl Fallout Continued: Crimson Tide Fan Refuses To Tip Auburn Fan Waiter?

The class of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team's fans, or lack thereof, continues to be revealed in the aftermath of the Iron Bowl loss to the Auburn Tigers on Saturday.

CollegeSpun.com is reporting that a waiter who happened to be a Tigers fan was sharing his pride about Auburn's unlikely victory in the instant classic game with his patrons.

One of the fans he was serving was a Crimson Tide fan that didn't appreciate the waiter's enthusiasm. When the bill came, the Tide fan showed his true colors by giving advice instead of money as a tip on a $20 tab.

The angry patron wrote: "Don't talk about being proud of Auburn to an Alabama fan! There's your tip."

The patron also wrote "Roll Tide" in the tip portion of the bill.

A friend of the waiter posted a photo of the bill on Twitter and wrote:

"@espn this is the tip my Auburn friend got following the game from an Alabama fan! #Auburn #Alabama"

CollegeSpun.com chided the angry Alabama fan but hailed the waiter's sudden popularity via his posted bill photo.

Earlier, another group of Alabama fans tried to post a petition on Change.org, claiming that Auburn's Chris Davis ran out of bounds on his 109-yard field-goal return and that the teams should be made to return to the field to play an overtime to determine the winner.

The initiating fan asserted that the SEC and NCAA needed to atone for its mistake "for the players, university (Alabama), fans, coaches, SEC and SPORTS in general."

The instigator also wanted the referees who let the play continue to be punished.

The behavior serves as an explanation for a backlash against the Alabama football program.
