The Tennessee Titans are on the brink of clinching their second straight division title following their three-point win over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football. A win over the Miami Dolphins or a loss by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17 will help seal the AFC South crown for Tennessee. Here's a breakdown of the Dolphins vs Titans matchup.

Miami Dolphins enter Week 17 as +3.5 underdogs

There is just no stopping Miami right now. The Dolphins extended their winning streak to seven games with an impressive 20-3 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. It has been a stunning turnaround for the Dolphins, who had lost seven consecutive games before embarking on their seven-game unbeaten run. They are the first team in NFL history to record a seven-game winning streak and a seven-game losing skid in the same season.

Jaylen Waddle starred for the Dolphins in the Week 16 win, catching 10 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. This season, he now has 96 catches and is just five receptions away from tying Anquan Boldin's all-time rookie record of 101 that he set with the Arizona Cardinals back in 2003.

For the Dolphins to extend their unbeaten run against the Titans, they will need to continue their excellent play on the defensive end. The Dolphins put the clamps on rookie quarterback Ian Book in Week 16, limiting him to just 135 passing yards in his first NFL start. Miami harassed Book all evening long, intercepting him twice and sacking him eight times. That pressure enabled Miami to stop New Orleans on all 12 of its third down opportunities.

Tennessee Titans installed as -3.5 favorites

In their primetime encounter, the Tennessee Titans will head to their showdown against the Miami Dolphins with momentum on their side after beating the San Francisco 49ers, 20-17. It was a huge bounce-back win for the Titans, who suffered a gut-wrenching 19-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.

Despite laying a goose egg in the first half, the Titans escaped with the victory. In the second half, they battled back from a 10-point halftime deficit, outscoring the 49ers, 20-7, to record the critical win. The Titans grabbed solo second in the AFC standings with the victory.

The No. 1 seed is still in play for the Titans as they trail AFC leaders Kansas City by just one game heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. For the Titans to grab the win against the Dolphins, they will need Ryan Tannehill to continue his stellar play under center. He completed 22 of 29 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the win against the 49ers.
