The AFC West supremacy will be at stake in Week 15 as the Los Angeles Chargers host the Kansas City Chiefs in a critical showdown at the SoFi Stadium. Can Justin Herbert continue his scorching start in this Chiefs vs Chargers clash, or will Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City steal a win on the road in this divisional matchup?

Kansas City Chiefs installed as -3 favorites

Kansas City extended its winning streak to six games with a resounding 48-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14. It was an important win for the Chiefs, who maintained their one-game advantage atop the AFC West standings.

The Chiefs can extend their lead in the division even further when they face the Chargers in Los Angeles this coming Thursday. The Chiefs will fancy their chances of doing just that as they are coming off their best win of the season in Week 14. The Chiefs dismantled the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium, recording the biggest margin of victory in a series that has been played 126 times.

Patrick Mahomes finally found the end zone in the 39-point rout, completing 20 of 24 passes for 258 yards with two touchdowns. Derrick Gore and Clyde Edwards-Helaire were tremendous on the ground, combining for 103 yards and three scores.

For the Chiefs to stretch their unbeaten run against the Chargers, they will need to continue their excellent play on the defensive end. The Chiefs forced a total of five turnovers in Week 14 and held the Raiders to just three points in the opening half.

Los Angeles Chargers enter Week 15 as +3 underdogs

The magical season of Justin Herbert continued in Week 14 as he led the Los Angeles Chargers to a dominant 37-21 win over the New York Giants. Herbert completed 23 of 31 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns, including an incredible 63-yard bomb in the closing stages of the opening half.

Herbert made history with that performance as he became the first NFL player to throw for at least 30 scores in each of his first two seasons in the league. Herbert made waves in his rookie season last year, becoming the fourth first-year quarterback in the history of the NFL to record at least 4,000 passing yards.

Herbert has been better this season as he is already approaching 4,000 passing yards with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions through the Chargers' first 13 games. He will look to further increase those outstanding numbers in Week 15 against the Chiefs. Herbert torched Kansas City in their first meeting this season back in September, throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns in LA's 30-24 win.

There is worrying news for the Chargers with left tackle Rashawn Slater placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. His status for the Chiefs game is now up in the air.
