The Bulldogs will look to keep their perfect record intact when they take on the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend. Can Kirby Smart keep the momentum going in this Georgia vs Tennessee showdown? Read our preview for an in-depth breakdown of this SEC matchup.

Georgia Bulldogs installed as -20.5 favorites

Georgia's red-hot start continued in Week 10 with an emphatic 43-6 victory over Missouri at the Sanford Stadium. It was a significant result for Kirby Smart's men, who improved their season record to a perfect 9-0 slate. With the victory, the Bulldogs maintained their No. 1 position in both the Associated Press Top 25 poll and the College Football Playoff rankings.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs in this contest was their outstanding defense. The Bulldogs held the Tigers to just six points, the seventh game this season that Georgia's opposition failed to score at least 10 points. They lead the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 6.56 points per game this season.

Georgia went on a rampage after Missouri scored the game's first three points, with the Bulldogs going on a 40-0 run bridging the first to third quarters. It was a good performance all around for the Bulldogs, who welcomed back quarterback JT Daniels into their lineup.

Daniels missed more than a month because of a lat injury with Stetson Bennett taking his spot as the team's starting quarterback. Bennett threw for 255 yards and a couple of touchdowns in the win against Missouri before giving way to Daniels.

Tennessee Volunteers enter Week 11 as +20.5 underdogs

The Tennessee Volunteers finally snapped their two-game losing skid with a thrilling 45-42 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. It was a critical win for the Volunteers, who improved to 5-4 for the season and 3-3 in conference play.

Hendon Hooker starred for the Volunteers, completing 15 of 20 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Velus Jones Jr., Cedric Tillman and Javonta Payton benefited from Hooker's highly efficient play, combining for 257 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Things are bound to get more challenging for them in Week 10, as they will face a Georgia team that leads the FBS in several defensive categories. The Bulldogs are second in the nation in passing defense, allowing just 151.1 yards per game through the air this season.

It is important for the Volunteers as well that they improve their play on the defensive end. They surrendered 612 total yards in the win against Kentucky. Tennessee held the ball for just 13 minutes and 52 seconds in that contest but still managed to pull off the win thanks to the brilliance of Hooker.
