Nearly nine months after their blockbuster trade, quarterbacks Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford lock horns in the Lions vs Rams Week 7 clash. Can Goff lead Detroit to an upset win over his former team, or will Stafford pile more misery on the still winless Lions?
Detroit Lions installed as +15.5 underdogs
The pressure is mounting on Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell after his team stumbled to yet another defeat in Week 6, losing 34-11 to the Cincinnati Bengals. With Jacksonville's victory over Miami in London, the Lions are now the league's only winless team this season, with Detroit carrying an abysmal 0-6 record.
To pile more misery on Lions fans, they also now hold the NFL's longest active losing streak due to the Jaguars' shock win. Detroit has lost its last 10 games dating back to last season.
Goff struggled in the loss to the Bengals, throwing for just 202 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Goff has completed 66.8 percent of his passes for 1,505 yards with just seven touchdowns and four interceptions through the Lions' first six games. He is 17th in the league in passing yards, tied for 20th in touchdown passes, 23rd in passer rating, and 31st in yards per attempt (6.3).
Campbell might be considering a quarterback change soon after he criticized Goff's performance in a press conference after the Week 6 loss. All eyes will now be on Goff as he makes his much-anticipated return to Los Angeles to face his former team. Goff spent the first five seasons of his career with the Rams before a falling out with coach Sean McVay sealed his move to Detroit.

Los Angeles Rams enter Week 7 as -15.5 favorites
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams extended their winning streak to two games with a comprehensive 38-11 victory over the New York Giants. It was a critical win for the Rams, who kept pace with the sizzling Arizona Cardinals, trailing them by just a game heading into Week 7.
Matthew Stafford led the Rams in this one-sided win, completing 22 of 28 passes for 251 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. He did most of his damage in the second quarter, with the Rams scoring 28 points in that period alone. Kupp had two touchdowns during that stretch, while Robert Woods and Darrell Henderson each racked up a score in that quarter as well.
The Rams' defense also took center stage in the huge win as they recorded four takeaways against the Giants, two of which came via safety Taylor Rapp's interceptions. The Rams punished a Giants team that was missing several of its key offensive players due to injuries.
The Rams will be licking their chops at the prospect of facing a Lions team that has struggled to put some points on the board this season. The Lions are fifth-worst in the NFL in scoring this season, averaging just 18.2 points per game this campaign.
