This season, Las Vegas maintained its perfect record with a thrilling victory over the injury-plagued Miami Dolphins on the road this past Sunday. The Raiders will look to extend their winning streak even further when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in a marquee AFC West clash this coming Monday. Read on below for a preview of this Chargers vs Raiders MNF showdown.
Las Vegas Raiders enter Week 4 as +3.5 underdogs
On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders preserved their unbeaten record with a thrilling 31-28 overtime victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Raiders survived a furious Miami rally to improve to 3-0 for the season. It was another solid win for the Raiders, who finally snapped their two-game losing skid to the Dolphins.
Like in their opening win against Baltimore, the Raiders battled back from a two-touchdown deficit before pulling off the win in overtime. The Raiders scored 25 unanswered points in this contest to turn a 14-0 deficit into a 25-14 lead.
Derek Carr starred again for the Raiders, completing 26 of 43 passes for 386 yards and two touchdowns. He spread the wealth among his talented wide receivers, with Carr completing passes to nine different targets. Hunter Renfrow led the way with five receptions, amassing 77 yards and a score against Miami.
It wasn't just Carr and Renfrow who stole the show for Vegas. Running back Peyton Barber made vital contributions with Josh Jacobs still sidelined, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. The good news for Vegas is that Jacobs might make a return against the Chargers in Week 4. According to Jon Gruden, he is hopeful that the Pro Bowler will be back on the grass at some point this week for the Raiders.

Los Angeles Chargers installed as -3.5 favorites
The Los Angeles Chargers are legit. The Chargers recorded one of the major upsets in Week 3 as they brought down the reigning AFC champions Kansas City Chiefs on the road at Arrowhead Stadium.
Justin Herbert led the way for the Chargers in the 30-24 win. With the game tied at 24 and faced with a critical 4th-and-9 situation in the closing stages of the fourth quarter, head coach Brandon Staley elected to go for it with his starting quarterback. Herbert delivered, getting a defensive pass interference call on the Chiefs for the automatic first down.
Herbert continued the Chargers' march to the end zone, finding Mike Williams for touchdown plays later to retake the lead. There were some anxious moments down the stretch as Patrick Mahomes tried to engineer another last-minute comeback, but the Chargers managed to hold on for the famous win.
Herbert outplayed Mahomes in this game, completing 26 of 38 passes for 281 yards, with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has connected with Williams, who caught seven passes for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including the go-ahead score. They will look to attack a Raiders defense that allowed just 197 passing yards in the win over Miami.
