Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be appearing in his 300th career time in the NFL against Detroit Lions this Saturday.

For Tom Brady's next game, he will need to win his battle against the Lions in the hopes of having a shot in the first spot of the NFC South behind New Orleans Saints, who sat atop.

For his 300-game milestone, Tom Brady will be the third non-kicker to have notched the feat in the entire NFL era.

Jerry Rice made the most number of appearances for a non-kicking unit with 303 career matches with the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. Brett Favre is at second with 302 games after playing with Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers.

For the 43-year-old quarterback to surpass Rice and Favre, Tom Brady should gear up to win the regular season's last two games. The games will be scheduled next year.

George Blanda, on the other hand, sailed on his 10-year play with the Chicago Bears and Houston Oilers as a quarterback. His last nine seasons saw him on the brink of being sidelined. He served the Raiders when he was already 40 years old.

When it comes to the all-time career-high in the games played, Morten Andersen was the frontrunner following 382 appearances on his 25 NFL seasons. Andersen has played in five teams, including Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and Minnesota Vikings.

For the most career games played under one team, Jason Hanson boasted his 327 career games with the Detroit Lions, Brady, and Bucs' opponent in their next outing.

Brady Shades Dungy

Meanwhile, Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy had something to keep before Christmas begins. Dungy, who had a full reliance on the support with the Buccaneers, startled Tom Brady with a question that the quarterback may find 'amusing.'

Tony Dungy could have landed many trophies in the Super Bowl with Tom Brady on his side instead of Peyton Manning of Indianapolis Colts. At that time, Tom Brady was having the time of his life with the New England Patriots.

The response from the 65-year-old head coach was not to Tom Brady's liking. Dungy mentioned that Tom Brady is not included in the all-time record of the quarterbacks who were difficult to guard.

It prompted the three-time AP Most Valuable player to relinquish his 'cool' demeanor by tweeting an image involving the Indiana Colt's 2014 AFC finalist poster.

Despite the seemingly bad blood between the two, Tony Dungy and Tom Brady, the three-time league MVP and the Super Bowl MVP, said that people should not take this seriously.

"I was just having fun. I was only referring to him as the Indy head coach, not as the Bucs head coach so it was nothing personal. Coach Dungy knows I love him. I was just giving him a little grief. He gave me a little grief. I gave him a little grief. It was all in good fun," Tom Brady said.

The 10-time Player of the Month Tom Brady plucked six Super Bowls when he was with the Patriots. Currently, Tom Brady is now 15-4 in his race against the Indiana Colts. The postseason also marked a 4-1 card for him.

When Brady faced the Tony Dungy-led Colts, the NFL AP Offensive Player of the Year carded 5-3 and 2-1 both during the preseason.

Tom Brady has participated in 41 NFL playoff matches, which locked him the total current participation of 340.
