Retired professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. went viral following his Instagram post announcing his upcoming fight against internet personality Logan Paul.

The 2010 Fighter of the Decade announced that his exhibition match against Paul would be on February 20, 2021.

The 43-year-old Mayweather hung his gloves on August 26, 2017, after winning against Irish mixed martial artist Connor McGregor via TKO in the 10th round of "The Money Fight." The controversial match earned Mayweather and McGregor a revenue exceeding $550 million, according to Forbes.

TMZ Sports confirmed that Logan Paul is once again seeking a big fight after losing to JJ Olatunji (also known as KSI) in their rematch. The British YouTuber shut down Paul lin November via split decision (55-56, 57-54, 56-55), which put a period to the challenge that the fans had dubbed the battle of the Internet Stars.

Logan Paul threw the first phrase to Mayweather, saying that he will split the 'f--ker' in half. "The only place I think Floyd is safe obviously is the boxing ring, but to be honest, I don't give a f*ck! I don't give a f*ck! I would fight Floyd anytime, anywhere, any place. Doesn't f*ckin' matter to me."

Paul continued to brag what he got upon flexing that he has all the advantage to defeat the older opponent. Moreover, he ended that he was already used to beating up weaker and shorter people than him.

"I'm 8 inches taller, I'm 40 pounds heavier, I'm half his age, I'm 2 times as hungry and 10 times as smart."

In a matter of days, Mayweather drove the fans into mixed emotions after hitting back at Paul on his Twitter post.

'The Pretty Boy' wrote that a UFC fighter (McGregor) said his name three years ago, and he had to put a muzzle on him. He also added that Logan Paul could get the same treatment before heading to Japan for his exhibition match.

His exhibition match in Japan was decided against kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in a fight that didn't last long. Mayweather subdued the 20-year-old Japanese after knocking him down three times in two minutes. He earned a whopping $9 million in just one round of action.

Mayweather banners a perfect 50-0 record in his whole professional career, something that Paul might want to reconsider before entering the boxing ring for the second time. Meanwhile, Paul has a 0-1 card.

The impending pay-per-view match will start at $24.99, but it could go higher while heading February.

A future scenario of a Mayweather-Jake Paul fight might happen if Mayweather defeats Logan Paul.

Jake Paul, who is Logan's younger brother, now holds a 2-0 record after beating former NBA player Nate Robinson in a Tyson-Jones Jr. undercard fight.
