2018 WNBA All-Star Game: Liz Cambage Dunks, Maya Moore Wins MVP

Maya Moore won her third MVP, while Liz Cambage threw down a dunk as Team Parker beat Team Delle Donne 119-112 on Saturday.

Moore, who plays for the Minnesota Lynx, finished the game with 18 points on top of eight rebounds and six assists. Chicago Sky's Allie Quigley added 18 points while Skylar Diggins-Smith of the Dallas Wings stuffed the stat sheets with 17 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists for Team Parker.

"It's crazy, it really is, to just be fortunate enough to continue to be in positions to win, to be playing well, to be healthy," Moore said.

After capturing her third MVP, the Lynx superstar joined Lisa Leslie as the only players to win the MVP three times in the WNBA All-Star Game. Moore also eclipsed Tamika Catchings' 108 points to become the all-time scoring leader in All-Star history.

Team Parker Kept Their Composure

Washington Mystics superstar Kristi Toliver was on fire from long range as she finished with 23 points while making seven out of her 11 attempts from the three-point land. A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces also contributed 18 points for Team Delle Donne, who made a rousing comeback late in the game.

Toliver converted five three-pointers in the final five minutes of the game to erase a 14-point deficit. However, it proved to be too little and too late, as Moore sank a three-pointer of her own with 1:26 to play to push Team Parker's advantage to six points.

Cambage Shows Leaping Ability

On the other hand, Cambage displayed her leaping ability in the final moments of the game as she threw down a monster dunk to seal the victory of Team Parker. The 6-foot-8 center also became just the sixth player to do it in the All-Star game.

The Wings superstar, who made her second All-Star appearance, unloaded 11 points and eight rebounds while making one of her four attempts from the three-point country. Earlier this season, the 26-year-old Cambage, who will turn a year older next month, made shockwaves when she set the WNBA single-game scoring record with 53 points.

Quigley Keeps Title

Quigley captured her second consecutive WNBA three-point scoring title after beating Kayla McBride of the Aces. After being tied at 18-all, Quigley flaunted her shooting prowess on the redo as she scored 29 of the possible 34 points in the competition.

Meanwhile, WNBA president Lisa Borders revealed that the 2019 All-Star Game will be held in Las Vegas, which is the home of the Aces. The Aces relocated from San Antonio after last season. The team is currently one and a half games out of the last playoff spot.
