Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers (11-10-2, 24 points) and Florida Panthers (6-13-5, 17 points) go head-to-head live from the BB&T Center in Florida in the second of three meetings against each other this season. Philadelphia enters play having won six of seven games while Florida is coming off of a five-game road trip that saw the club go 2-2-1. The last time these two teams locked up, the Flyers won 2-1 in Philadelphia on Oct. 8.

The Flyers capped off a 3-0-0 homestand with a 5-2 defeat of the New York Islanders on Saturday and have finally turned their season around.

"It's huge. We've been playing better...It's looking better, everybody's contributing and it's a lot more fun," Claude Giroux said via NHL.com.

Giroux leads Philadelphia with 15 points off of three goals and 12 assists while Brayden Schenn has seven tallies and seven helpers for 14 points and Vincent Lecavalier (eight goals, five assists) and Steve Downie (one goal, 12 assists) each have 13 points.

The Panthers battled the Calgary Flames tough on Friday, but eventually lost 4-3 in a shootout to ensure the team notched a point for the fourth time in six games.

"It's a heck of an effort for these guys to come back. ... I mean to come back in the third, scoring and then still coming back, I think it was a really strong effort," coach Peter Horachek said after the game, according to NHL.com. 

Brian Campbell and Tomas Fleischmann have each paved the way for Florida with three goals and nine assists for 12 points apiece while Brad Boyes has a team-high eight goals along with three assists for 11 points.

In net, Steve Mason has started 16 of 23 games for the Flyers and has posted a 7-7-2 record with a 2.11 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage while Tim Thomas has appeared in 14 games for the Panthers and is 5-7-1 with a 2.79 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

The Flyers look to keep the wins rolling while the Panthers will keep trying to take some positive steps when these teams hit the ice tonight at the BB&T Center in Florida.
