Microsoft May Not Announce Surface Pro 5 At Rumored Event, Launch Might Extend Till Spring

Technology-giant Microsoft's premium and most popular products undoubtedly include its Surface Books. Microsoft has been expected to announce the successors to its much-applauded for Surface Pros since quite sometime.

Microsoft was rumored to unveil the latest products at a launch-event in Spring of 2017. However, a new report published by website MSPower User, Microsoft will not be unveiling the latest products at the event. The launch-date appears to have been re-scheduled. The company is expected to unveil the Surface Pro 5 at a launch-event in Spring of 2017.

In other words, as far as the upcoming spring is concerned, fans won't be seeing any new Surface Pro 5 device nor a Surface Book 2 device. Instead of the Surface device launch events, the company is now expected to hold an event that will typically focus on events especially relating to its Xbox consoles. And since they have already introduced the Windows 10 Mobile and Hololens-powered hardware, it appears like the gaming segment is the only one left that is yet not been addressed by the company.

In fact, even Windows Central reported that the company has  ditched the possibility of launching the Surface Pro devices in Spring. While the reasons are yet unknown and have not been officially confirmed by the company yet, many have started speculating that there might be troubles with the hardware of the products. Some users have automatically assumed that Microsoft's work on Windows ARM typically runs only on devices and the company wants to be able to project it on laptops as well.

It is interesting to note that Microsoft unlike any other similar technology firm does makes use of its own Surface to launch new platforms for Windows. For instance, take Windows Ink or Surface Dial. It is a tradition that the company has followed and appears like they will be following this year as well.
