If there is something that an athlete wanted to happen should their contribution to the sport is recognized, it should be going full circle. WWE Hall of fame inductee is sort of doing a full circle after learning that John Cena will be the one taking care of presenting him before thousands that will be in attendance on March 31st.
The news was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment themselves through their website. Angle, an Olympic gold medalist, played a vital role in Cena's career when the latter accepted the former's open challenge during Smackdown's episode in June 27, 2002.
Following the news, the 48-year old Pennsylvania native expressed his pleasure in having Cena introduce him to the Hall of Fame ceremonies through his Twitter account.
Few minutes after, the now 15-year WWE superstar retweeted Angle's post and replied it with nothing but gratitude to the former gold medalist.
Yes, Cena did not beat Angle on his debut but that was enough to win the nod of inducting the former All-American wrestler to the ranks of the immortals.
Aside from Angle, the other personalities that will be inducted on the night before Wrestlemania are the former NWA Tag-Team Champs Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson of "The Rock and Roll Express", former referee and Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, US Champion and Tag Team Champ Diamond Dallas Page, the charismatic "Ravishing" Rick Rude and former Diva of the Year Beth Phoenix.
Eric LeGrand, former defensive tackle of Rutgers who injured his spine cord during the game in October 2010 and was paralyzed from neck down will be also be this year's recipient of the Warrior Award. ESPN reported that Paul Levesque (aka Triple H) spoke to LeGrand, now an motivational speaker, informing him of that he will be receiving the award that is usually given to people who embodies inspiration, determination and hope.
