UFC News: Dana White To Fight Tito Ortiz In A Boxing Match As Undercard For Mayweather-McGregor, Recalls Fist Fight With The "Bad Boy"

With the news of Conor McGregor fighting Floyd Mayweather taking over a majority of MMA news, reports of a new boxing match between two MMA personalities may be taking shape. However, this time it features a retired MMA fighter and a former boxer who is one of the most powerful men in MMA.

Dana White and Tito Ortiz had a long-standing feud during the UFC's heyday. Dana White started out as Tito Ortiz's manager before becoming his boss in the UFC. But it was evident that the two didn't like each other as both were often engaged in verbal altercations. There wasn't any reported incident that involved any physical conflict between to two.

But in an interview with Conan O'Brien, Dana recalls a time when both of them engaged in a fist fight. According to Fox Sports, Dana White and Tito Ortiz's feud reached its peak when the two fought inside an airplane. Dana White recalls that the fight started that during a private flight to Japan. Tito and Dana were messing around at the time which led to Tito putting Dana into a neck crank.

Dana White said that he was tapping to Tito Ortiz to signal the fighter to let go. But Tito didn't let go which led Dana to continually punch him in his ribs. When Tito finally let go, Dana immediately jumped up and led to a full-blown fist fight.

Meanwhile, Tito Ortiz remembered the altercation with his post on Twitter. According to the fighter, Dana White got the best out of the conflict. He also mentioned that he missed those days of feuding with his boss.

The Dana White/Tito Ortiz feud was supposed to be settled in a boxing ring that will be televised. The match was scheduled numerous times but was always canceled at the last minute. But it's never too late to cash in on the feud. If UFC wants to go all in on the circus act especially with McGregor and Mayweather, a co-main event between Dana White and Tito Ortiz would be perfect.
