It was just a shortes hiatus in March, folks, and actress Mariska Hargitay will surely be seen again on ""Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"" Season 18. She has been with "Law & Order" series for 400 episodes already, many of which she came to be the actress- director. Fans more than love her as an actress in this long-running police procedural and legal drama series on NBC. In the coming "Law & Order: SVU" Season 18, Episode 13, Lieutenant Olivia Benson (Hargitay) will play as the squad leader pursuing a dangerous hacker.
Fans of ""Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"" Season 18 are awaiting these days as to the fixed schedule of the airing of episode 13, Futon Critic said. March 22 was however heard in news although the date was first indicated as the airtime for "Law & Order: SVU" Season 18, "Genes" episode (13). Promo on YouTube for the "Genes" episode shows Benson (Hargitay) probing a suspect who claims his genetics causes him to commit rape. It will be co-starred by Kelli Giddish (Det. Amanda Rollins), Peter Scanavino (Det. Sonny Carisi) and Raúl Esparza (ADA Rafael Barba). The "Law & Order: SVU" "Know It All" episode with March 29, 2017 unconfirmed schedule has also Benson (Hargitay) leading the main cast, which also include Giddish, Sanavino, Fin Tutuola and Raúl Esparza.
It is too evident that Hargitay will not yet disappear from the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" Season 18 as she is still so bankable and idolized actress although she has been in it for long 11 years and 400 episodes. As director, Hargitay was supposed to have her "Law & Order: SVU" "Motherly Love" episode as the 400th episode aired on NBC last February 15, 2017. But on that date, the "Law & Order: SVU" "Great Expectations" episode was aired instead. "Motherly Love" was aired as the 399th episode.
Hargitay is always winning to stick with ""Law & Order" series. In June 2009 a news leaked out that there was NBC deal with her and actor Christopher Meloni about the duo getting $385,000 per episode. Their fees are surely greater now with SVU being stretched too much due to good ratings while it currently becomes the longest-running scripted drama on TV. SVU season 17 alone with Hargitay averaged 10 million viewers overall in live viewing plus the DVR playback in adults 18-49 audience. ""Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"" Season 18 debuted on September 21, 2016 and was renewed by NBC on February 1, 2016. It is aired every Wednesday, 9 p.m. on NBC.
