WrestleMania 30 [RUMORS]: Sheamus Wants Undertaker Instead Of Brock Lesnar? [VIDEO]

While it has been widely speculated that the Undertaker's legendary 21-0 undefeated WrestleMania streak will be defended against Brock Lesnar at this year's historic WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, WWE Superstar Sheamus has thrown his hat into the ring of those who want to take on the dead man and his streak at 'Mania.

Will WWE change its plans?

Sheamus has been sidelined after undergoing shoulder surgery, but will most likely be back at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in January, which would be perfect timing for the WWE's WrestleMania buildup. Sheamus recently told NOLA.com that his dream opponent at WrestleMania would be the Undertaker when they interviewed him to promote this spring's event.

"I'd definitely like to take on The Undertaker," Sheamus told the website. "That's definitely a dream of mine. I just feel like I can bring a new dynamic in there with him."

WrestlingInc.com reported last month that the WWE would be going in the direction of doing a Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania as "The Next Big Thing" would go after "The Streak" at WrestleMania in an epic encounter. The report notes that original reports slated for Lesnar to take on The Rock in a re-hashing of their feud that stems back to 2002, but The Rock will not be at WrestleMania due to scheduling conflicts.

Sheamus may not get a chance to face 'Taker since the WWE is looking to have him encounter Lesnar, but the "Celtic Warrior" also discussed his favorite WrestleMania match of all-time.

"When I understood more about the skill [of wrestling], it was Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII," Sheamus told NOLA.com. "I watched both of their careers expand from the tag team division."

One name that always comes up when WrestleMania time rolls around as a possible opponent for The Undertaker is Steve "Sting" Borden, who is in TNA and has never appeared in the WWE even after his longtime promotion WCW closed its doors. Sting remains under contract with TNA but reports indicated that he hasn't signed on to continue with the struggling company in 2014, but it doesn't look as though he'll be coming to WWE.

According to F4WOnline.com, a Lesnar and Undertaker match isn't set in stone but is likely as long as the Undertaker can handle a Lesnar-style hard-hitting match, and given Taker's fandom of the UFC it seems as though he would be game.

None of the WWE's WrestleMania plans have been etched in stone yet, so Sheamus could have a shot at facing the Undertaker, but the most likely scenario will see Lesnar go after The Streak at WrestleMania 30 this April in New Orleans.
