‘Vikings’ Season 5 News: Floki Has Discovered Iceland, The Upcoming Season Will Have 20 Episodes Plus

The Season 5 of "Vikings" will be the first season that won't be featuring characters: Ragnar, which is played by actor Travis Fimmel and Ecbert, which is played by Linus Roache. While fans may feel like there is nothing left to the show; there is much more to it than meets the eye. In fact, the 5th season of Vikings will be the most crazy one yet.

As reported, an official announcement from the side of the makers of the "Vikings"  is awaited. However, there is no stopping from people speculating regarding the shows especially given the number of endless leaks and rumours. As per a sneak peek that was released soon after the conclusion of the fourth season, it was revealed that Harald, which is played by Peter Franzen will be given the throne. He was seen sitting happily with a crown on his head. Fans of the show will understand why this is not a good sign. According to Entertainment Weekly, The fifth season might come by the end of the year.

It is believed that Harald's character will witness a turn in his attributions towards the "Vikings" future. He will be playing one of the primary antagonists along with Heahmund, which is played by actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Apart from this, it's quite evident especially due to the contrast in the characters that Harald and Lagertha will in fact be standing in direct challenge against each other.

According to a new report published by IBT Times, another preview that was recently released suggests that Floki, which is played by actor Gustaf Skarsgard, has finally discovered Iceland. It is largely believed that Floki has a major role to play in the history that "Vikings" is seemingly following. According to Bustle, "Vikings" Season 5 might have 20 episodes.

As per what is written in the history that "Vikings"  follows, a character named Floki plays an important role in becoming the first Norseman who sales through and discovers Iceland. Stay tuned for more updates.
