Diamond Dallas Page To Be Inducted In WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2017

WWE announced on Monday that the WCW legend and former World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page will be inducted into the WWE hall of fame as part of the class of 2017. He will be inducted along with Kurt Angle, The Rock 'n' Roll Express and Teddy Long during the week of Wrestlemania on March 31 in Orlando, Florida.

Diamond Dallas Page who is 60 has been three-time WCW world heavyweight champion. He entered the sports entertainment where he started as a manager in Verne Gagne's AWA in1988 while still working as a nightclub manager in Florida. He moved to WCW in the year 1991 and started his training a year later when he was 35. And in few year Page became the face of the WWE along with the superstars like Goldberg and Sting.

Diamond Dallas Page became the World Heavyweight Champion in the year 1999 at Spring Stampede and also had two other reigns before WCW was introduced by WWE. He lost his title to David Arquette in the year 2000 as reported by fox sports. After WWE purchased WCW in the year 2001, Page was associated with WWE for two years where he became the European Championship and WWE tag team championship with Chris Kanyon. Page also wrestled under Total Nonstop Wrestling (TNA).

The native of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Page who retired in the year 2005 went on to become a noted fitness instructor and motivational speaker as reported by ESPN. Diamond Dallas Page has been friends with many of the WWE wrestlers and helped many of them like Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Mick Foley and Scott Hall who were struggling with their issues of addiction and moved to Page for help and changed their quality of life. Page has also helped with DDP yoga to extend the careers of wrestlers like Chris Jericho, Goldust and AJ Styles.
