The heat between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. just continues to build more and more ahead of their rumored boxing match superfight.
The two have taken media as the medium to exchange barbs between them on a regular basis, and what once started out as nothing but just a trash-talk between the two superstars now has sparked the legitimate possibility of a fight coming to conclusion.
Mayweather has asked for a $100 milion price tag to step into the ring against the fierce heavy-handed Irish Champ McGregor, unwilling to give him more than a $15 million payday.
UFC President Dana White has cleverly responded to Mayweather's offer by countering with a real offer of $25 million for each player in addition to splitting the revenues of the day Pay-per-View. Both sides continue meanwhile, continue to banter over who has the positive side when it comes to the finances, leading 'Money' to fire his latest shot at the 'Notorious One's' bank account.
Mayweather took the Twitter platform to inform the general public comparing his and his Irish adversary's net worth. In the image, he had his image with a price worth of $650 million and McGregor's image with a price worth of $2.5 million. He further said "Before you ask for $25M, be worth more than $25M. You have the "2" and the "5" right but you meant to say $2.5M not $25M."
The boxing discussions have gone beyond McGregor and Mayweather talk, however, it was announced that UFC lightweight Nate Diaz is also getting close to getting a boxing license in Nevada, coming just after McGregor acquired his in California.
The question now arises that will Diaz switch his career? Where does he stand in the heated talk between Mayweather and McGregor? And will we ever see a bout between the Boxing legend Mayweather and the Irish champ McGregor?
