Serena Jameka William who is very well known American Tennis player who has numbers of Grand Slam titles either singles, doubles, mixed doubles everything. She has won 38 major titles which puts her on number 4 in the all-time list.
Along with all the fame, she earned from the game, she has also earned quite a huge amount of money as well which is estimated around $150 million (as of January 2017) according to Forbes.
Serena has endorsed deals with various companies.The list includes Nike, Wilson, Delta Air Lines, Audemars Piguet, Aston Martin, Pepsi, IBM, Mini and Chase Bank.
Born in Saginaw, Michigan she was the youngest amongst of 5 sisters. She was taught to play tennis by her father at a very early age of 3. Williams first professional game was in the year 1995 when she was 14 years old which she lost.
In the year 2002, she won major titles like French Open, U.S. Open and Wimbledon. The gross amount she earned in that year was around $12 million and she was highly ranked player till then. And as the ESPN reports say her career prize money till 2016 totalled around $81.7 million.
But she has earned twice off the court than on the court. Her five-year deal with the Nike was worth as much as $40 million. She earns bonuses from Nike for Grand Slam Titles. Her other endorsements plus she has a clothing line too and she owns stakes in the Miami Dolphins.
Last month on December 29, 2016, Williams announced her engagement to the Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. She was in the news for her engagement ring which she flashed in a pic with her fiance, as reported by HuffingtonPost.
Last year she won her 22nd Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in July 2016 but had a bad run in Rio Olympics. She has now 71 singles titles and 23 doubles title.
