Just one night after SummerSlam, the WWE returns to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for "Monday Night RAW."
It was established at "The Biggest Event of the Summer" that the Red Brand belongs to Finn Balor. "The Demon King" defeated Seth Rollins to become the first-ever WWE Universal Champion and will now be the man representing the "RAW" brand as its major champion.
"The Architect" is slated to react to the big loss at SummerSlam, though there is concern that Balor may have been injured during the match and could need surgery. The complexion of the main event scene could change Monday if Balor is hurt. It also remains to be seen, if healthy, who his next opponent will be.
There is also a lot of buzz surrounding Brock Lesnar, who defeated Randy Orton via TKO on Sunday and caused "SmackDown Live's" Viper to receive 10 staples in his head.
"The Beast" also hit Shane McMahon with an F-5 to end the show. Lesnar isn't expected to be at "RAW" this week, but Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are slated to speak about the incident.
In the United States Championship picture, Roman Reigns and Rusev never fully had a match on Sunday as the leader of the Roman Empire took out the "Bulgarian Brute" in a pre-match brawl. Their feud is likely far from over.
Things are also continuing to heat up in the tag team division. The New Day enter "RAW" on top as Tag Team Champions for one whole year, but they lost to The Club at SummerSlam, meaning Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows will likely be looking for a rematch.
Also in the division, Enzo Amore and Big Cass lost to Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens in their backyard on Sunday and will be out for revenge.
There is a new champion in the women's division as Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks to reclaim the Women's Championship. With "The Boss" reportedly injured, it seems a new challenger will step up to the reigning champion this week.
Other matches at SummerSlam for "RAW" saw Neville and Sami Zayn defeat The Dudley Boyz in tag action and Sheamus overcome Cesaro to take Match 1 of their best-of-7 series. The latest developments in these rivalries will be on display Monday as the countdown to the first "RAW" exclusive event, Clash of the Champions, begins.
The event will take place on Sept. 25 at the Bankerslife Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
