Klay Thompson Girlfriend: Cheerleader Who Tagged Warriors Star's Patio Isn't Significant Other [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

Klay Thompson doesn't have a new lady in his life after all.

Rumors ran rampant that the Warriors star was dating a Rams cheerleader named Cherise Sandra, who tagged his patio with graffiti. Due to the actions of Sandra, it appeared she would have to be close to Thompson in some way.

As it turns out, they aren't really close at all and she's just a friend of a friend.

Speculation rose that the two were together because Rose tagged her name on the patio with a heart and posted it on social media writing, "You & Me Baby" in the caption. Though social media went wild, the two aren't a new couple.

"They aren't dating at all," Thompson's rep told TMZ Sports. "The first time they met was that day. She was a guest of a guest, that's it."

Thompson's love life has been a popular subject recently. The Golden State shooting guard was spotted on multiple dates with the same woman during the early portion of the Warriors' playoff run. His father, former NBA star Mychal Thompson, also spoke about his son's dating life and was sour on the idea of Klay possibly dating reality star Khloe Kardashian.

"No," Mychal Thompson told TMZ in March when asked about Klay getting with Kourtney Kardashian. "Klay is smart enough to choose the right one, I trust his judgment. I just want him to meet someone like his mother and I'll be happy. [I give him dating advice] all the time. I just tell him to find himself a good girl."

Thompson, 26, averaged 22.1 points per game in the regular season for the Warriors and then put up 24.3 PPG in the playoffs. Golden State, which won an NBA-record 73 games this past season, ultimately fell in its attempt at winning a second straight NBA title.

The Warriors became the first team to ever blow a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals and lose when they fell to the Cavaliers, who clinched their first championship in NBA history.

Perhaps Thompson should turn to Rose to get over his woes:
