WWE 'SmackDown' Spoilers 6/23/16: Match Results For First Major Event During Roman Reigns' Suspension

The WWE taped "SmackDown" on Tuesday night, marking the first major event of the company since it announced a 30-day suspension for Roman Reigns for failing a wellness test.

In the main event of the show, Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn when he hit him with a Pedigree. Dean Ambrose was on commentary, and "The Architect" got the better of him to close the show.

Rollins opened the show talking about the Triple Threat Match with Ambrose and Reigns at Battleground on July 24, which could be a sign that the WWE is going with the match as planned. Ambrose and Zayn interrupted and challenged Rollins, but it was announced Zayn would be the one to face him in the main event.

Another big feud continued in the tag team division as the reigning champions The New Day defeated The Vaudevillains and were confronted by The Wyatt Family after the bout.

In other action, Cesaro defeated Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus toppled Apollo Crews by countout and AJ Styles overcame Jimmy Uso with the Calf Crusher. The Styles' match was set up after The Club had an altercation with The Usos backstage.

In the women's division, Becky Lynch took out Dana Brooke in singles action via DQ after Charlotte got involved. Sasha Banks made the save.

This edition of "SmackDown" continued to hash through the fallout of Money in the Bank and build toward Battleground.
