Von Miller Contract News & Rumors: Broncos LB Says 'No Chance' He'll Play Under Franchise Tag On Instagram [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Fresh off of a Super Bowl win, Von Miller has no intentions on playing under the franchise tag next season.

The Broncos linebacker took to Instagram and wrote a post saying there is "no chance" of him playing under his current deal after Denver placed the franchise tag on him back in March.

Miller added that he "loves" his teammates, coaches and fans, but appears to be threatening a hold out unless the Broncos open up their wallets.

With the Broncos placing the tag on him, he's due to make roughly $14 million, which is the average of the top salaries of his position, according to TMZ Sports. The four-time Pro Bowler recently turned down a six-year, $114 million offer with $40 million guaranteed.

This appears to be a different stance than the one Miller had during a recent Netflix interview with Chelsea Handler in which he simply said "no" when asked if he'd consider sitting out the season if he isn't given an offer that blows him away.

The Instagram post could be a tactical move on the part of the linebacker as a way to light a fire under the Broncos to get things done.

The deadline for a new long-term deal isn't until July 15, so there is plenty of time for something to happen and Miller could be trying to speed up the process by placing some pressure on his team.

"We still have a month," he told Handler. "I just can't see myself with another team."

The Broncos finished 12-4 last season, winning the AFC West for the second consecutive campaign before knocking off the Steelers and defending champion Patriots in the postseason en route to defeating the Panthers, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50.

Miller, 27, was selected No. 2 overall by Denver in the 2011 NFL Draft and has 60 sacks, 210 tackles, an interception, a touchdown and five fumble recoveries over 72 games in his career.

Last season, Miller notched four forced fumbles, recovered three, had 11 sacks and recorded 30 tackles while playing in all 16 games for the Broncos. He had 2.5 sacks and five tackles en route to becoming the MVP of Super Bowl 50.
