Big E believes "The Boss" would make a great addition to The New Day's stable.
Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E have been highly entertaining as a trio and have held the WWE Tag Team Championships for nearly 10 months together. Big E recently talked about possibly expanding the group and said he believed Sasha Banks would make for a great fourth member.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion also added that he always intended for the faction to grow, but believes it's fine with just three members.
"We talked about this for quite some time, especially earlier, and we always saw New Day as a faction that would expand and be larger than three members," Big E told the Vegas Sun. "Now, though, it seems like such a perfect fit with us three. But if we had to, we're all such big Sasha Banks fans, I think she would add a different dynamic, though she's such a strong, beloved character that I don't think she needs to be surrounded by anyone. But if we were forced to pick someone, it would be Sasha Banks."
Big E was speaking to promote Money in the Bank, which emanates from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Sunday night. The New Day will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against Enzo & Cass, The Club and The Vaudevillians at the event.
Banks, meanwhile, will once again be glossed over. It will mark the third straight pay-per-view and WWE Network special to not feature the former NXT Women's Champion, so perhaps including her in The New Day could give her a renewed sense of direction.
"The Boss" hasn't been prominently featured on a major show since WrestleMania 32 back in April when she stole the show with Women's Champion Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Though Banks didn't achieve her crowning moment, she put herself on the map with a breakout performance.
Still, the WWE has balked on her push and while a concussion may have contributed to it, she is healthy and still not being utilized. There was a belief Banks might be pushed at SummerSlam in August, but there's no excuse to not be building her up right now.
The New Day has a great rapport with Banks, as seen on the "UpUpDownDown" show hosted by Woods, so there would be no shortage of chemistry within the group.
With the WWE doing nothing for Banks on the main roster despite her dazzling performances in NXT, perhaps a run with The New Day is just what she needs.
