Klay Thompson Dad: Mychal Thompson Watched WWE 'RAW' Instead Of Game 7 Due To Nerves [VIDEO]

Klay Thompson's father found it easier to stomach John Cena's return to the WWE than his son's Game 7 against the Thunder.

Two-time NBA champion Mychal Thompson was tuned into "Monday Night RAW" this Memorial Day as his son played Oklahoma City in a winner-take-all Western Conference final meeting. The Warriors won, 96-88, to advance to the NBA Finals for the second straight year.

Golden State will now face Cleveland in a rematch of last year's final round in search of their second consecutive title.

According to a tweet by Warriors beat writer Diamond Leung, who writes for the Bay Area News Group, Mychal Thompson was such a nervous wreck over Game 7 that he checked in on "RAW."

Klay Thompson put up 21 points during the win for Golden State, which was paced by two-time MVP Stephen Curry, who notched a game-high 36.

The Thompson patriarch isn't the only person related to the series checking in on wrestling.

Ric Flair recently shared his adoration for the Cavaliers and revealed that Kevin Love is a fan of his daughter, WWE Women's Champion Charlotte.

"I am the Cavaliers' biggest fan," Flair said on 'SI Now' back in March. "I met Kevin Love for the first time last year in the playoffs. And the first thing he said was, 'I'm a huge fan of yours, but I love your daughter.'"

Love also has the stamp of approval of the 16-time World Heavyweight Champion to date his daughter.

"He's single, he makes a lot of money, he's a man," Flair said of Love. "I think he's fantastic, he's a good guy."

Love and two-time NBA champion LeBron James will try to bring Cleveland its first NBA title in franchise history, a drought that dates back to the 1970-71 season. The Cavaliers are 0-2 all-time in the final round.

Klay Thompson, meanwhile, knows something about ending droughts as he helped the Warriors celebrate their first title in 40 years last season.

If the NBA Finals goes the distance, Mychal Thompson is in luck. The WWE presents Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 19, which would be the same night as Game 7.
